Birthday Wish

 

sun moss wildflowers
trees shade dirt
roots wishes seagulls

silence with birds
and laughter against stones
and circles of laughter
and belly everything

and time with the reeds
and pictures with sky
and sun christening

and surrender and surrender and surrender
to the body I am

I surrender to all of this,
to the lusciousness I forgot.
Wholeness rising up, still here.
I lie back in it.
