Tara Sophia Mohr is a coach, writer and teacher.
Tara brings a unique background to the personal growth field. She received an MBA from Stanford University, where she served as co-President of Women in Management. Tara received her undergraduate degree in English Literature from Yale University, where her studies focused on Shakespeare. She continues to incorporate wisdom from poetry and literature into her personal growth workshops and courses.

Tara is the co-creator of two anthologies of women’s writings, The Women’s Passover Companion and The Women’s Seder Sourcebook, published in 2003. She is currently at work on a third book about living an authentic life.
Tara received her coaching certification from the Coaches Training Institute and has also been trained by The Woodhull Institute for Ethical Leadership.
Before her current career, Tara worked in the nonprofit sector. She continues her involvement through volunteering, currently as the President of the Board of Directors of Upstart Bay Area. Her work was recently featured in Convergence, an Irvine Foudation/LaPiana Associates report on the future of the nonprofit sector.
When she’s not writing, coaching, or happily engaged in leading a group program, you can find Tara walking by the water in San Francisco, taking in a modern art exhibit or dance performance, or sharing some laughs and wine with her husband and marvelous friends.
