Join Me for a Workshop this Summer!

July 29-31    Online

Join the Summer Writing Retreat to tap into your creativity, have a hearty check-in with yourself, and access your own inspired visioning.

Writing is an incredible way to process emotions, come back to our internal sense of calm, discover what’s most important to us, and have more impact around the issues and ideas we care about most.

You can come to this retreat with a focus on a particular project, whether personal or professional. Or, you can attend not knowing what you’ll work on – the inspiration will come through the retreat! And you are more than welcome whether you think of yourself as a writer, or not.

I will support you with:

  • warm-up prompts and exercises to get the words flowing
  • my favorite insights about the creative process
  • Q&A sessions and help around blocks or stuck places
  • structured, supportive writing time
  • retreat recordings you can use for your own future writing sessions or to review what we’ve learned.

Past attendees share:

I hadn’t written so deeply in years. Tara’s prompts were just what I needed.
– Annie Ricci

I was surprised by how much new work I produced in such a short period of time.
– Lizah N.

I found that voice inside of me that I was searching for in my writing yet could not grab hold of. Tara’s coaching and the supportive net of accomplished women gave me the space and courage to find that voice.
– Donna K. Musial

August 12    Online

If you’re a creative or passion-driven entrepreneur, and you’d really like to have more momentum and success in your business, let me tell you, you are not alone!

Getting traction in our businesses is hard. And the myths we’ve been told only make it harder.

So, should we just throw up our hands & trust the process, even though things aren’t going as we hoped? No. We – and our businesses – deserve more.

In this workshop, we’ll braid together that deeper work of trust, while also learning the tactics and experiments that help us get traction.

We’ll do that with a deep respect for the people we want to serve, and a commitment to doing business in ethical, even revolutionary, ways. You’ll also learn how to get off the rollercoaster of attaching your moods or sense of self-worth to what’s happening with your business.

And I’ll share the business practices and mindsets that have most helped me.

Each entrepreneurship journey is unique, so this workshop will include time for spotlight coaching and Q&A.

Here’s what some of our alumnae say about working with Tara:

“I went from having 1 client to 9 with a waiting list of 8 more… I took a bold step into the field I was playing very small in… I am now comfortable in negotiations whereas before I was terrified of them!” – Alison, Interior Designer

“I have taken many courses on personal growth and professional empowerment over the past 20 years. Tara’s courses are the most valuable I ever took.” – Diana, coach

Each day will include dedicated writing time, inspiration, practical teachings, and time for community and connection.

We’ll begin each day with a short centering/grounding time so you can fully arrive, followed by some opening teaching from Tara.

We’ll then do guided warm-up writing prompts (and you’ll be surprised at how much they open things up and get the words flowing for you!).

Then, we’ll turn to focused writing time together, where you’ll have dedicated time and space to write, alongside a supportive community.

In our writing sessions, there will also be optional opportunities for small group discussion and sharing.

During our time together, Tara will also host a Q&A and Coaching time where you can bring your questions, dilemmas, stuck places about writing, creativity, publishing and more.

What are the payment options?

You can make 3 monthly payments of $169 USD per month, or one payment of $495 USD. Registration includes year-long access to the recordings, and lifetime access to the retreat materials.

What’s the refund policy?

If you’ve attended the first morning of the retreat and find it’s not for you, simply request a cancellation of your registration to receive a refund.

What if I can’t attend the live sessions?

That’s okay! All of our sessions will be recorded and posted within 24 hours, available as video and audio recordings, so you can participate in the timing that works for you. We also provide full written transcripts. You can re-create the retreat experience for yourself anytime you could use some extra support.

Is there prep work to do in advance of the retreat?

Not much! We’ll provide a light Getting Started document to read over, but nothing that takes much time. If you’d like, you can gather up your favorite pens and journal, but bringing a simple pen & paper will suffice too!

Can I invite a friend to sign up?

This will be a great experience to have with friends! Feel free to send them this link so they can learn more and register.

Will this work if my writing is… creative, academic, for business…

Yes. In the retreat, we will use writing prompts and exercises that will bring more creativity and energy to your writing – and this can enhance any kind of writing, whether you are writing resumés or marketing materials or research papers. During our dedicated writing time, you can continue working with prompts from Tara or turn your attention to whatever writing project you’d like to work on.

I don’t really consider myself a writer. Is this for me?

Absolutely. In my view, a “writer” is simply anyone who, in that particular moment, is writing. That’s it. There’s no such thing as “a writer” apart from that. We are here as human beings with thoughts, sentiments and ideas to articulate and express, and so we write. Join us.
