There comes a time when we feel
the call to play bigger...

To step into the work we long to do,

To live in a way that is more authentic and vital,

To speak up, and create,

To go for more joy, fulfillment and impact.

And then we meet the challenges on our path. The questions and doubts –

Am I qualified to do that? How do I know if I’m ready? I’m worried other people won’t like what I’ve got to offer – or that I will fail.

We face practical dilemmas too:

I’m already overwhelmed. These are exhausting, difficult times. How can I pursue these dreams and also… make a living? Show up fully for my family? Not feel even more drained?

These challenges often leave us stuck playing small.

Yet this is the time for us to step forward in our unique expressions of playing big.

Most of us need support and a new toolkit to do that.

It’s not the way of working or living we learned in school, and it’s not what we employed in our careers so far.

It’s something new.

That’s where the Playing Big approach comes in.

Playing Big Is For You If:

  • You want to expand the impact you are making through your work.
  • You feel a calling or longing to play bigger, but you feel afraid or unsure about the next right steps.
  • You want to feel less burdened by fear and self-doubt.
  • You want to make a greater positive difference but feel held back in some way.
  • You believe in your work, but struggle with getting your voice and work out there.
  • You sense that being part of a supportive community of like-minded women would help you play bigger.
  • You suspect it would be a whole lot more fun and a whole lot more fulfilling to play big. (YOU ARE RIGHT.)

Stepping into Your Playing Bigger

Here, we define playing big from the inside out.

It’s not about doing what’s more prestigious, or what looks “big” to others.
It’s about courageously creating more of the whole life you desire.

You’ll learn how to quiet self-doubt, move through fear, let go of over-preparing and perfectionism, uncover your own wisdom, navigate difficult and courageous conversations, and much more – through the Playing Big model – with live coaching, teaching, and support from me.

Playing Big has now created incredible results for thousands of people around the world:

•  inspiring career changes made
•  businesses launched and thriving
•  courageous conversations had
•  earning power increased
•  books and writings published
•  teams, communities, and groups led, with care and vision
•  creativity regained
•  and most important – women are doing the work they most want to do, being who they want to be, in the world.

About Tara

Hi, I’m Tara, author of Playing Big: Practical Wisdom for Women Who Want to Speak Up, Create, and Lead, published by Penguin Random House, embraced by over 100,000 readers around the world, and named a Best Book of the Year by Apple’s iBooks.

I bring to these programs:

  • Over a 15 years of experience coaching clients spanning diverse ages and identities around the world. My coaching experience has included working with individuals, working inside corporate and social sector organizations, and working with young women in schools.
  • With me, you get a very unique hybrid. You get the practical, grounded in the ‘real world’ side: I received my MBA from Stanford University, and have extensive training in leadership, negotiation, communication, entrepreneurship, and business. I have also been growing a thriving business – with a wonderful team – for over a decade.
  • You also get the psychological and spiritual side. I am a spiritual seeker, poet, and lifelong student of the inner life.
  • And then there’s my personal journey. I’ve walked my own personal journey discovering my own right-fit style and approach to coaching, developing a body of work from my coaching, and helping that body of work to reach people around the world.

I’m the creator and teacher of the Playing Big Course and Playing Big Facilitators Training, two renowned, long-running transformational programs.

The Playing Big model has been incorporated in leadership development programs at Starbucks, Google, Verizon Media, and many other companies, and taught in middle and high schools around the world, supporting girls’ leadership development.

I earned my MBA from Stanford University and my undergraduate degree in English literature from Yale. My coaching training and certification is from CTI, the Co-Active Training Institute. All of those educational experiences, combined with a lifelong love of personal growth, inform my work.

I’m a mom of three little people, doing my best to wear many hats each day – writer, coach, spiritual seeker, parent, partner, daughter. I live in the San Francisco Bay Area and I love long hilly walks, dancing, superb coffee, and wearing cozy sweaters in the fog.

When I facilitate leadership journeys for senior women executives, I often use a selection of the Playing Big tools. I have rarely found tools that have such a profound impact in such a short period of time.

Dr. Tanvi Gautam

Playing Big has brought me clarity, strength and reintroduced me to myself. I say reintroduced me, because when I was younger I played big. But over time, as my career took shape, I went off track to a place that wasn’t true to myself. As a result of Playing Big, I feel the fog has lifted. Now I am taking action to move into a life which is genuine to myself and my callings.

From day one of the Playing Big Course, I felt things begin to shift within me like I haven’t experienced before. It was the most transformative process I’ve ever engaged in.

The Playing Big tools have been invaluable to help me break out of my academic shell in order to help my work have more impact. I used the Playing Big tools to quiet my inner critic, realize my story has value as is, stop my hiding strategies and not fear critical feedback.

After reading the Playing Big book and experiencing the power of the tools by myself, I decided to enroll in the Facilitators Training. The process was completely transformational! It has inspired me to take leaps and connect with the audience that I want to impact and serve.

“This Playing Big thing is amazing! …and unsettling, too! Here’s the thing, I listen to the calls, do the handouts, and listen to the recordings (many times!) — I think I’m getting it, I feel like I’m getting it. So I go about my day. And then I have a moment in my day when I {know} I’m getting it. It’s like a land mine, I just stumble across it. An explosion. And I realize that I am that girl that I have been trying to be. I am leaning into the better part of myself. O. M. G.”

“If you’ve read Playing Big and you are ready for more, the Playing Big Facilitators Training is a worthy investment in yourself and those you lead for integrating the principles in your everyday and professional life. The course is a must do for any woman leading, mentoring or coaching other women!”
– Stephanie H, Integrated Health & Wellness Coach

“Over the past 20+ years, I’ve had the honor of coaching and mentoring so many incredible women within Fortune 500 companies. Again and again, I’ve seen smart, capable women hesitate to truly play big—not because they lack the talent or drive, but because of the quiet (and sometimes loud) voices of self-doubt, perfectionism, and imposter syndrome.

The Playing Big Facilitators Training offered me both practical tools and deep personal insight. It helped me finally name and shift some of the patterns I hadn’t even realized were holding me back. And just as importantly, it gave me a new, more grounded way to support the women in my sphere as they pursue what matters most to them—with more courage, clarity, and compassion.

I’m deeply grateful for this experience. It’s not just a training—it’s a space of growth, healing, and powerful connection.”
– Kimberlee Brattain, Communications & Employee Engagement Executive and Coach

“The tools that I learned in this training have transformed my coaching – thank you so much! I have gained certainty and feel more secure about my abilities to coach women on these recurring issues. I have also applied the concepts and strategies in my own life. Thank you Tara and team! I felt loved and cared for.”
– Angela Grosvenor, Coach

“Tara’s work is life-changing. Through Playing Big, she has taught me incredibly valuable skills and techniques that continue to help me move my business forward in a way that resonates with my true self.”
– Lisa Wood, Intuitive Designer and Business Coach, Founder of Sprout New Media

“Prior to the course, I didn’t have a structure or tested framework in my work with women. Now, internally, I feel more grounded in my work. I have incredible tools I can lean into now to help the clients I work with. I feel far less attached to the work I put out in the world, and I trust in the way forward.

As a career advisor to university students, I’m introducing these concepts in our consultation meetings and really helping the next generation of leaders get clarity on their unknown narratives and decide how to re-write them.”
– Gloria Eid, Career Coach

“Playing Big offers great benefit for academics, helping us better tap into our creativity, vision, and power. I am a faculty member at a women’s college; the mission of my work is to support women playing bigger. As a psychology researcher, I value empirically-supported strategies. As a health scholar, I aim to improve community well-being. As a mentor, I know that the most sustainable approach to developing leadership capacity is to acknowledge people in their messy, glorious complexity – including mind, body, heart. I only wish I knew about the Playing Big program earlier, as it profoundly supports each of these values. Tara delivers substantive, practical content – manageable even for those people with busy, full lives – that will stay with you long after the formal program is over.”
– Benita Jackson, PhD MPH, Associate Professor, Department of Psychology, Smith College

“This course helped me to dig deep and learn to listen to my calling and help me make some key decisions about my career path. I feel confident that I am making decisions that are right for me using the tools I learned in the course. What a great experience. Thank you!!!”
– Theresa E. Bartolotta, Ph.D., Dean, School of Health Sciences at Stockton University

“I am so much more able to recognize the inner critic and gently shut her down when she pipes up. I no longer feel mad at myself for having an inner critic (my inner critic was so strong that she would criticize me for listening to her!). Thank you so much for helping me manage my habit of being unnecessarily hard on myself, which has been going on for most of my life!”
– Naomi Bardach, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Health Policy, UCSF School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics and Philip R. Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies

“I’ve experienced significant changes because of this program. I am able to put my learning, qualifications, and skills to best use because I communicate more clearly. I find that others are more clear about my role and contributions, which means they know when to come to me for input and when the request should go elsewhere. My profile is also growing in the industry, which is positive for the organization I work for. I manage my time better because I understand my role and worth, so delegate tasks more easily when appropriate. I also communicate more confidently with senior managers and with the people who report to me. I am generally more professional, happier, and putting energy into areas that align with the organization’s mission, as well as my own values.”
– Joelle Adams, Adjunct Professor

“Less than a year ago, I found myself seeking something more. While I had achieved most of my professional and personal goals, I knew there was more for me to learn, experience, and contribute to the world. When I learned of the Playing Big course, I knew it was something I had to do for myself and for the women I wanted to serve. It was beyond excellent, and as an educator myself, I can attest to the quality of the materials and time spent working directly with Tara. She’s an authentic, compassionate, brilliant teacher. More recently, I have started bringing the Playing Big model into my professional sphere. I hosted more than 50 women faculty and staff for an all-day retreat incorporating Playing Big concepts and tools. The response was so positive that I was invited to teach an online women’s leadership class. Of course, Playing Big is one of the required texts. I’ve also used Tara’s work with my staff, all of whom are women. I bought them the book as a holiday gift, and we’ve adopted her key concepts into our everyday vernacular, allowing us to support each other so much more effectively. I have found her tools work with women at all levels of our organization. All of this, every single thing, I attribute to reading Playing Big and taking the Playing Big course. That was less than a year ago, and I am still on my path, leaping and learning every step of the way. ”
– Alexis Kanda-Olmstead, Director, Talent Management, Training & Support, Colorado State University

“I have taken the Facilitators Training over two seasons and I have evolved as a coach from having hardly any clients, to doing lots of 1:1 coaching, to developing a group program and online course for female academics. Tara Mohr has been a role model in this transformation and I have found her tools incredibly helpful for my own ‘playing big’ – as well as coaching others to take leap steps towards their ‘playing big’. I highly recommend this program.”
– Sanne Frandsen, Associate Professor and Coach for Female Academics

Hear From Managers & Mentors

“Tara’s classes have completely changed the way I think about leading and mentoring inside and outside of the workplace. I have a box of Playing Big books under my desk to give away to whoever asks for one, because I find Tara’s approach so effective and wise. It has changed my life, and it might change theirs. Taking the Playing Big class gave me a critical set of tools to work through feelings and behaviors that held me back. The Facilitators Training taught me how to use these tools to mentor and coach women around me that want to play bigger. Tara’s approach gave me a strong conceptual framework and words to describe and deal with our inner critics, our fears, our discomfort with feedback and criticism, and our resistance to act on the very things that we care about the most.”
– Antonella Pavese, Senior Staff UX Researcher at Google

“Playing Big deeply shifted my leadership and my life; how I see myself, how I call on my own inner (powerful) leader, and how business partners experience me. Prior to Playing Big, I’d received feedback, ‘You have the goods, just show up like you do! You are not owning all of what you offer or who you are.’ After the course, I received feedback that my leadership presence had dramatically shifted. I was showing up clearer, stronger and more vibrant. I was leading with less ‘noise’ yet greater impact. I now take on challenges with elevated curiosity, thoughtful and intentional communication, and an overall more confident way of being. This catapult in growth has been validated by performance reviews, feedback from peers and (most exciting) the trajectory for which I see (and am driving) my career and future.”
– Playing Big program graduate, Director at Nike

“This is an amazing course! It helped me figure out what my ‘playing bigger’ looks like and how it could be different as life evolves. The course is a nice balance of practical tools, self-reflection and guidance from Tara and resonant stories from others. I thought it was fabulous I could do this with my own time and without judgment. I would highly recommend this (and have been) to other women who desire to make a bigger difference in their lives in an authentic way.”
– Zeryn Sarpangal, Vice President of Human Resources & Corporate Affairs, Achaogen, Inc.

“Professional development and mentoring conversations around subjects such as fear, doubt and self-criticism can often be awkward in the office setting. Playing Big gave me the deep insights and courage to approach these subjects with my team and mentees in more a thoughtful, empathetic manner. In finally addressing these once ‘taboo’ subjects head on, my teams and mentees accelerated their personal growth and effectiveness across the organization.”
– Jennifer Dimaris, Former VP of Marketing, Starbucks Coffee Company

“Reading Playing Big was such a transformational experience that I didn’t think there was more for me to experience personally. But taking the Facilitators Training was as helpful to me in my personal growth as it has been in giving me tools to share Tara’s work with others. It was so wonderful to immediately apply what I was learning into my job, my mentoring relationships, and my facilitation work with women.”
– Rebecca Magee, Manger of Social Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Eileen Fisher

“I have gone through numerous leadership trainings (covering many of the same topics), but Playing Big really struck a cord. Maybe because we are focusing on ‘women specific’ challenges for each topic, but mostly because of the delivery – the images used, the targeted questions raised, and the practical exercises used to bring it home and make it personal. I had numerous ‘ah-ha’ moments – there is no doubt playing big has helped me unlock what was holding me back and is setting me up for a successful return after my maternity leave.”
– Valerie Pisano, Engagement Manager, McKinsey & Company

“I have absorbed so much from the Playing Big Course, this is my second time. I can see how much more robust and resilient I am about standing up for myself and carrying myself forward into the things I want to be doing in my life. It’s a wonderful courage booster. Fabulous content and tools for loads of scenarios as well.”
– Danielle Morgan Fractional CMO/Advisor for Startups

Hear from Graduates with Careers in the Nonprofit & Social Sector

“I have always carried a confident outer executive presence that filled the room and boxed out the shrinking, space-saving girl within. Through this course, I learned to embrace the fact that taking up space is my magnificent birthright. I more fully and beautifully show up, speak up and act up in the wide open overlap between inner confidence and outer approval. This program is life changing.”
– Bernadette Merikle, Regional Director, Partnerships, Equal Opportunity Schools

“I started the Playing Big course as I considered leaving a long tenure to a leadership position. Playing Big allowed me to make a major leap in my career. I recently stepped into a CEO/President role with confidence and character and made a major leap that I had only dreamed of twelve months prior.”
– Kelly Tweeddale, President, Vancouver Symphony and VSO School of Music

“I have gained so much more out of Playing Big than I ever expected. I came in hoping that Playing Big would help me tap into my calling and provide some motivation and tools to pursue it. I did not expect the transformational power of this series. Tara’s tools and exercises get at the heart of playing bigger in a way that is sustainable and that I can keep going back to. I feel that I own my voice more confidently, that I’ve accessed the wisest part of myself, and that I’m showing up more authentically throughout my life. I have strongly recommended this course to all of my friends.”
– Betty Chen, Director of Family Engagement at Summit Public Schools

“The Playing Big course gave substance and insight to limitations and obstacles I had been facing in my work life but had not yet been able to name or articulate. Tara’s combination of theory, poetry, emotion, and raw data put these issues into vivid detail, and the structure of the course challenged me to apply these insights immediately, rather than for my ‘future self.’ The community of women involved in this course was also a huge source of encouragement and new ideas. Thank you!”
– Jennifer, International Development Consultant

“Every module helped me see something playing out inside of me and helped me interrupt the mindsets and voices that were holding me back. I came at a major work transition with much less fear. I feel ready for a transition in ways I never thought possible.”
– Katherine Kennedy, Nonprofit Leader

“Tara’s Playing Big model has made a significant difference in my own career, and through me in the careers of women I have mentored. In working through the exercises myself, I learned to make friends with my inner critic and to recognize when I was limiting myself through self-talk, communication style and other habitual patterns. This greater compassionate self-awareness has not only allowed me to grow, it has also helped me to be a better mentor to women I manage. It has been so satisfying to see them grow and thrive.”
– Eleanor Bell, PhD, Director, Operations and Finance, HVTN, Fred Hutchison Cancer Research Center, Former Director of Strategy Planning & Management, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

“Playing Big changed and is still changing my life. Tara has created something that women can use for life – not a fad, but a movement. I am blessed to be part of this community as I continue my journey in life and in ministry.”
– Rev. Dr. Patrice Gerideau, Founder of Sister Soul Care

“The Playing Big model provided a framework for me to enhance my own leadership as a school administrator. Last year, when pitching several ideas to my school administration, I drew upon the Playing Big course and materials for guidance and encouragement. The Playing Big model has also been an integral part of our school’s leadership training for adolescent girls. The students resonate and can identify with Tara’s work, whether we are discussing inner critic, inner mentor or diminishing language.”
– Betsy Briardy, Middle School Dean of Students; Director of the Center for How Girls Learn, Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart

“Playing Big gives you practical tools to get out of your own way and live a life that is more authentic, confident, and joyful. The Facilitators Training enables coaches, mentors, teachers, parents, and others to help other women (and men) on their journey to ‘playing big,’ however they define it. The course also connects you to amazing women around the world. I loved the course and would highly recommend it!”
– Rachel Lipton, Evaluation and Strategy Consultant for the For-Impact Sector

“I enrolled in the Playing Big program a year into my first management job. I was inspired and regularly brought the topics back to team meetings and check-ins for discussion, opening up space for conversations on the things that were personally holding us back. Once we brought them out in the open, we were able to more effectively move forward together toward bigger goals and opportunities. The Playing Big model helped me develop my style and philosophy for management, making me a much better manager early on and more prepared as I transitioned into new organizations and teams.”
– Sara Ferree, Senior Development Adviser, International Women’s Health Coalition

“The Playing Big Facilitators Training has deeply transformed the way I lead. It has enabled me to support my team with greater clarity, empathy, and purpose. I now feel more equipped to help them step into their own leadership — and together, we’re better able to empower the girls and women we work with.”
– Tamara Banjac, Co-founder, IRIDA

Hear from Graduates in the Arts

“Playing Big ignited a new sense of purpose in my work. Lots of new ideas, and forward momentum. I got such beautiful support and practical expertise from other women taking the course. Tara Mohr is a gifted coach; meaning she studies, practices and thinks deeply about what she is doing, giving personal thought and attention to participants. The course is well structured, and tools are multi-sided, applicable and memorable.”
– Laura Carmichael, Classical Clarinetist, Creativity Coach and Faculty, THNK School for Creative Leadership

“Tara, the Playing Big program coupled with your wisdom, and the authentic sharing of the other women on the calls was essential for me to move forward in my life. Creativity through my art, dreams of traveling, health, parenting…. I felt connected on various levels. With gratitude!”
– Louisa Moutos, Fine Artist

“Playing Big and Tara’s generous wisdom has had a PROFOUND impact on my life…in ways that stretch beyond imagination. Being part of this course has helped me see myself in a bigger and broader light and given me the confidence, support and tools to grow my business, playfully explore my vision and gracefully take my place in this world to uplift humanity.”
– Kirthi Nath, Creative Director and Lead Filmmaker at Cinemagical Media

“Playing Big was the best gift I could have given myself. I was at a career crossroads, feeling overwhelmed and powerless in my career as an actor and new writer. Tara’s program re-introduced me to the authentic ‘me’… it mined and defined my unique strengths and calling to where I am finally comfortable in my own skin, empowered by the journey I’ve already been on and in charge of the road ahead.”
– Taryn O’Neill, Actor, Writer, and Co-Founder of Scirens

“I am basking in the glow of Playing Big. Last weekend was the first of my two Open Studio events in. This is the third year that I have shown my encaustic paintings and prints to the world, yet I felt a change in me and how I presented and stood by my work. I spoke strongly and confidently about what I did, why and how (gave a demo!). I held nothing back and spoke my truth. The Universe responded with the most generous conversations, people and surprises. Connections were formed, paintings were sold! And I gained a greater understand of self.”
– Francesca Saveri, Artist

“The Playing Big Course provided me an entirely new language and approach to address the self-imposed obstacles that have been plaguing me for as long as I can remember. At last, I have concrete ways to manage and even conquer those obstacles, and I can implement those methods right now. My entire mindset has shifted, and it feels both relieving and empowering!”
– Dheepa R. Maturi, author and poet

The Playing Big Program Curriculum

1

Introduction & Orientation

What does playing big look like for you right now? In your work? In your life? What kind of playing big is needed in our world right now? In this introductory module, in both courses you’ll explore these questions, so you can move forward with more direction and energy. You’ll learn the surprising definition of Playing Big that has resonated so powerfully with people globally.

Introduction for the Facilitators Training:
In the Playing Big Facilitators Training, you’ll do all of that important work around your own Playing Big, and you’ll also start to hone in on the specific ways you feel called to support others in their playing big – accessing that vision with more clarity and boldness through guided exercises.

2

Quieting the Inner Critic

In this module, we talk about the cause of the inner critic, how to distinguish it from realistic thinking, when and how it’s most likely to show up, and what to do about it. You’ll understand how the inner critic functions in your life – including the subtle and sneaky ways it shows up (whether in the domains of career, body image, parenting, romantic relationships, finances, your creative life, etc.). Most importantly, you’ll learn what to do when self-doubt arises, to ensure that it doesn’t hold you back any longer.

Helping Others Quiet Their Inner Critic:
If you sign up for the Facilitators Training, you’ll do this Inner Critic work for yourself, and you’ll also learn how to help others identify and quiet their inner critics – so self-doubt won’t hold back the people you support. I share what coaches, consultants, managers and mentors can do that works best and most consistently for helping others quiet self-doubt, as well as what we often do in those roles that actually gets in the way of people moving past self-doubt. You’ll get practice doing Inner Critic coaching work with others too.

3

The Inner Mentor

What if, when you were feeling confused or uncertain, you could access a wise voice of clarity and calm within? What if you had a clear and inspiring vision for where you are headed in your life and career? It really is possible. Through Inner Mentor work, I’ve witnessed this happen for thousands of people, and it can absolutely also happen for you, too. In the midst of difficult times, and a very noisy, often unwise world, we can all access a voice of inner wisdom. In both courses, you’ll meet your inner mentor, or, if you already have a sense of her, get a deeper and clearer connection. You’ll also get a host of practices and support for checking in with her more regularly and more effortlessly – so you can experience more of her impact in your life.

Guiding Others to Connect with Their Inner Mentor:
If you are joining us for the Facilitators Training, you’ll also become equipped to help others find their Inner Mentor – or more broadly, to access their own inner voice of wisdom. I share the nuts and bolts of leading the Inner Mentor visualization effectively, highlighting the pitfalls and tricky things that can come up and how to navigate them. We also go deep into the more nuanced part: how to help people unpack and interpret their Inner Mentor visualization, which often doesn’t yield obvious answers.

4

Getting Wise About Fear

Fear is one of the primary obstacles that keeps us from having the lives and careers that align with our values and fulfill our potential. We all need a toolkit for working with fear, and in this module, you’ll get one. In the Playing Big programs, we unpack what fear really is – from a physiological and psychological perspective. With our powerful model for working with fear, you’ll be able to differentiate between the two kinds of fear that arise when we start playing bigger – knowing which kind of fear to welcome and utilize, and which to skillfully steer away from (and how to do that). With the fear toolkit, you’ll be able to take the steps that scare you, whether it’s making that career change, or looking at personal patterns you want to change, or becoming more visible in your work.

Supporting Others around Playing Big & Fear:
In our Facilitators Training, I also teach tools for working with others when fear arises for them. Whether you are a coach helping people make individual change, or a manager leading people through daunting changes in your organization, you are charged with helping people move past their fear into more generative states of working and being. You’ll get a host of practical coaching tools to help people through fear so they can do their best thinking, and their best work.

5

Unhooking from Praise & Criticism

If you are really honest with yourself, are you avoiding some important leaps forward in your work because you are worried about the criticism that might come? Or do you feel beholden to praise – whether rave reviews from clients or gold stars from a boss?

And what about the people you support? Would they be doing more authentic, game-changing work if they were less hooked on praise and criticism? What if you could help them unhook?

In this module, we talk about what it means to be hooked by praise and criticism, why this impacts women and other marginalized individuals in particular, and how we can unhook. After this module, you’ll be a lot less dependent on praise, and a lot more comfortable with criticism and potential criticism. This frees us to speak up, share our ideas, be controversial when it’s needed, and in doing all that, make positive change.

You’ll also come away with a new and liberating approach to giving feedback to team members, clients, and people in your personal life in a more effective, ethical and empowered way.

Supporting Others to Unhook from Praise & Criticism:
In the Facilitators Training, you’ll do this inner work on Unhooking from Praise and Criticism for yourself, and you’ll also get the deep dive on how to use the coaching tools to help others unhook from praise and criticism, so they can do their boldest and most authentic work. Have a client who is afraid of “what they’ll say” if she pursues the career direction she truly wants? Or a student who is still wounded by feedback another teacher gave them years ago? This module’s coaching tools will enable you to help others navigate these kinds of feedback-related challenges.

6

Discerning & Pursuing Our Callings

In the Playing Big model, callings are “the assignment an individual receives to bring goodness and love into the world, in some particular way.” We can experience a calling to a career, to a way of helping a friend for a few months, to a creative side project, or to devoting ourselves to an important communal cause. Following our callings enriches our lives and sparks our aliveness – yet most of us get no education in how to discern, respect, or pursue our callings.

In the Playing Big Course, you’ll get more clear on what’s calling you and how to go for it in practical, manageable ways that work with your real life. You’ll get support for the fear and resistance that you are likely feeling (and that we all feel!) in relationship to our callings.

Supporting Others to Discern & Pursue their Callings:
If you are joining us for the Facilitators Training, you’ll do this work on your own callings, and you’ll also learn how to help others identify and take action on their callings. You’ll learn how to support others in taking simple, low-risk action to live their calling, and how to support them in letting go of a calling that is coming to a close. Helping the people we support to live their callings, and living our own, is perhaps some of the most sacred and joyful work we can do.

7

Hiding, Leaping & Leaving Good Student Habits Behind

Getting one more degree. Putting off an important career step because it seems like a few other steps need to happen first. Launching a big project gathering others’ voices or perspectives on an important topic.

These are just a few of the things brilliant people do – particularly women and others socialized to stay quiet – that look fine from the outside, but are in fact often hiding strategies. Many of these are behaviors we learned in order to do well in school, but that end up not serving us well in our careers. In this module, we’ll take a rigorous look at our default good-girl, good-student ways of working and discover a bolder, quicker, more experimental way of working called leaping. Leaping gets us playing much bigger right away.

Supporting Others to Stop Hiding & Helping Others Design Leaps:
In the Facilitators Training, you’ll do this discovery for yourself and also learn how to spot and talk about those hiding strategies when they crop up in the people you are supporting, and you’ll learn tools to help others move past them.

You’ll also learn how to bring the leaping way into your work with others, so their desired results come to them more quickly. This is huge for helping individuals – whether corporate team members or small business entrepreneurs – get out of perfectionism and into learning from action.

8

Navigating Negotiation & Difficult Conversations

Do you dread negotiation conversations, feel like you aren’t a great negotiator, or simply know you could be a much better one?

Negotiation is an everyday skill. We need it for conversations about who is going to pick up the extra load at work, and who is going to do the laundry at home! In this module, you’ll learn how to spot negotiation situations, and show up comfortably and confidently. You’ll learn a positive, collaborative, step-by-step framework for negotiations. And you’ll then have the opportunity to apply it to important situations in your life, with live coaching and support from me. You can learn to love – and thrive in – negotiations.

Coaching Others for Effective Negotiations & Difficult Conversations:
In the Facilitators Training, we also look at this from the lens of the support person. Those we coach and mentor are often coming to us to talk about their unmet needs or conflicts with others. Too often, we end up advocating for a particular side or solution, rather than giving that other person the tools and framework to have empowered, collaborative negotiation conversations in their lives. That’s what you’ll learn to do in this module. You’ll gain empowering skills for your own negotiations and difficult conversations, and also learn the skills to help any client prepare for a negotiation, plan the conversation, and wisely speak up for their needs.

9

Communicating with Power

How would your career and life change if your words had more power? In this module, you’ll learn about important research on gender and communication in the workplace and public sphere, and what those research findings mean for you. We cover what speech and writing habits to let go of, and what new language you can use instead. You’ll also be supported in a day-by-day habit change process, so that your communication is more powerful by the time this module comes to a close.

Coaching Others for Effective Negotiations & Difficult Conversations:
If you are participating in the Facilitators Training, you’ll also gain tools for supporting women and others to become more powerful in their communication. You’ll learn how to support women who are dealing with the double-bind – the persistent, well-documented reality that highly competent women are often seen as unlikable. You’ll gain fluency in helping clients, team members, or mentees navigate this difficult issue.

10

Let It Be Easy

All of us have had the experience of setting out with great commitment and motivation toward a goal, and then feeling that energy suddenly wane – and our forward progress vanishes with it. In this module, we turn to an important question: how do we really sustain our playing big over the long term? Turns out – it’s not about willpower or self-discipline. I’ll take you through setting up a “success architecture” of supports and routines that allows you to achieve any playing big goal in a sustainable, kind-to-yourself way over the long-term.

Helping Others Create Sustainable Plans to Reach Their Goals:
In the Facilitators Training, you’ll also practice using this model with others, so that you have a go-to approach for helping clients, mentees or team members set up supportive, effective routines for long-term action and change – the kind of routines that are not vulnerable to waning motivation or exhausted self-discipline.

11

Playing Big Collectively

In any society that disempowers some of its members, those disempowered individuals often unconsciously come to harm one another – out of their own wounds and unmet needs. In our context, this means that often women fail to support one another – particularly in situations where power, resources, and social acceptance are at stake. In everyday terms, this translates into painful relationships or major woundings in family, friendships, and professional relationships among women, as well as among other members of marginalized groups.

Yet none of us can play big alone, and our playing big remains partial if it does not include powerfully supporting women or others who share our identity.

In this module, we will explore how women can advocate for each other across differences in identity as well as the obstacles and biases that often prevent us from doing so. We’ll look at how the legacy of patriarchy manifests in our professional relationships with one another, and how we can let go of its influence.

Playing Big Collectively Facilitators Session:
In the Facilitators Training, we will also explore together what helps us support other women across differences in identity – including differences around racial identity, sexual orientation, culture, class, and others. Second, you’ll learn tools to help those you support navigate hurt, jealousy, and competitive dynamics that come up in relationships between women.

12

Conclusion & Integration

In our concluding session, we look at the big concepts from the course and weave major ideas together. We also look forward – I’ll support you in a process to identify your goals and priorities for the next phase of your playing big journey. And, we have lots of fun celebrating our journey together!

For the Facilitators Training:
We also review when to use which Playing Big tool as you work with others, and look forward as you articulate your goals and ideas for your work supporting others in their playing big.

After the Course

After the formal close of the course, your journey doesn’t end. You’ll continue to receive a number of resources to support you, including a link to all the course materials saved in one easy-to-access location that is yours forever, and the invitation to attend future course sessions to continue your work – for free! Our alum participate again at no cost, to continue receiving support on their Playing Big journeys.

FAQ

General Questions & Logistics

What’s the difference between the Playing Big Course and the Playing Big Facilitators Training?

In the Playing Big Course, you focus on your own Playing Big goals and journey, through 12 powerful modules where you apply the playing big tools in your own life and career.

In the Facilitators Training, you get access to the full Playing Big Course, as well as to our Facilitators Training. That allows you to further your own Playing Big, while also learning new tools for your work.

Visit our Curriculum section to see what you’ll learn, module by module, in each session.

Both programs include:

  • Dynamic sessions with Tara, that you can attend live or view/listen to the recording
  • Coaching demos that bring the concepts to life
  • Q&A so you can get your individual questions answered
  • Readings, audios and videos, journaling worksheets, text-based reminders and more
  • Virtual meet-ups and course discussion groups for inspiration and connection

The Facilitators Training adds an additional layer of training so you can bring the Playing Big model to your work with others, with skill and ease. If you love coaching, or want to coach one day; if you lead groups for women or hope to in the future; if you mentor or manage people as a part of your job; or simply if you want your work or life to be more about the juicy-fulfilling-people-heart-stuff, the Facilitators Training provides a powerful, proven toolkit for doing all that.

In the Facilitators Training, you experience everything that is part of the core Playing Big Course, as well as:

  • 12 additional workshops that focus on bringing the Playing Big model to others. What coaching tools and approaches work best around each Playing Big topic? What pitfalls commonly come up, and how can we navigate around them?
  • Regular Lab Calls where you have the optional opportunity to practice the coaching skills in pairs—in a safe, supportive learning environment, with debrief and discussion.
  • A collection of handouts, worksheets & resources to share with others—useful materials to share with clients, mentees, workshop or group participants.
  • Tara’s special Coaching Skills 101 Training, three workshops sharing her unique approach to the craft of coaching.
  • With completion of our course requirements, you can also earn 40 Continuing Education units from the International Coaching Federation and can add to your professional credentials that you’ve completed the Playing Big Facilitators Training.

What are the dates and call times?

The Playing Big Course and The Playing Big Facilitators Training begin on October 8, 2025.

The Playing Big Course live course sessions meet every other Wednesday, 10-11:30 am Pacific, and the last session is March 25, 2026.

The Facilitators Training meets weekly on Wednesdays. You’ll join the Playing Big Course workshops every other week, and our Facilitators Focus workshops on the alternate Wednesdays. Calls are at 10 am Pacific, with 90 and 120 minute sessions, depending on the week. The last session will be April 1, 2026.

Both programs will take a winter break in late December/early January.

You’ll also receive readings, additional audio and video materials, and more between modules.

What is the pacing for the program? What is the structure of each module?

In the Playing Big Course, we spend two weeks on each module, focusing on a Playing Big tool or concept. This gives you a week to learn about the topic, join our live workshop (or listen to / view the recording), and then a second week to put the tools and new approaches into practice in your own life.

In the Facilitators Training, we spend two weeks on each module/topic.

  • In Week 1, we focus on applying the Playing Big tool/concept to your own life. In that first week, we join with the broader Playing Big Course community, so you also get to see coaching demos with a wide diversity of women from varied industries and fields – useful for learning as a Facilitator as well!
  • In Week 2, we join just as our Facilitators community and focus on how to apply the Playing Big tool/concept to work with others – clients, mentees, students, or team members you want to support. You’ll also have the opportunity to practice using the coaching tools through our lab calls.

What’s the time commitment for this?

For most participants who are moving along with us module by module, it’s around one to two hours a week for Playing Big, and around two to three hours per week for the Facilitators Training. That includes our calls, readings, worksheets, supplementary curriculum materials, and time for you to participate in online discussion forums if you wish. However, we make it very easy to skip a week (or more) when you need to and pick up again with the current module – leaving you free to make up the missed material whenever you can.

What if I can’t attend the live sessions?

All of our sessions will be recorded and posted within 24 hours, available as video and audio recordings. We also provide full written transcripts. You can always submit Q&A questions outside of our course session.

For the Facilitators Training coaching practice sessions, you can always connect with another participant in our discussion forum and practice together at your convenience. We provide materials to support you in this.

Will I get to work with Tara 1:1?

The Playing Big programs takes place in a group format, within which each individual member will have the opportunity to share challenges, reflect on their learnings, and ask questions with individual feedback from Tara. Our workshop calls are highly interactive – Tara is live on the calls, these are not pre-recorded. If you’re not able to attend a session, you can always submit questions ahead of time and then listen to the recording.

What will the community aspects of the program be like?

One of our greatest joys as a team is being able to provide a space for connection, support and meaningful dialogue – to help people shore up through each other. We look forward to doing that through your course experience, too.

Over the years we’ve found that some course participants are very eager to connect with others as a core part of their course experience, and other participants are more focused on simply absorbing the content. We’ve structured our courses so both paths are available. There are many optional ways to engage with the community, and our online discussion groups (hosted outside of mainstream social media) are places where you can dialogue with other participants and find people in your local area, or with shared interests.

If you choose to join us for our optional virtual meet-ups, you will also be meeting and connecting with other participants in small groups.

What’s the investment?

The cost of the Playing Big Facilitators Training program is $2699 USD when paid in full, or you can choose the 8-month payment option for $374 USD/month. As a graduate of the program, you’ll be invited to attend future Facilitators Training sessions at no additional cost.

We also have a 12-month payment option (for $230 USD/month) if that’s a better fit for your budget. If you are interested in this payment option when registration opens, please contact our team for details (playingbig@taramohr.com).

The cost of the Playing Big course is $874 USD when paid in full, or you can choose the 6-month payment option for $164 USD/month. As a graduate of the program, you’ll be invited to attend future Playing Big sessions at no additional cost.

We also have a 12-month payment option (for $80 USD/month) if that’s a better fit for your budget. If you are interested in this payment option when registration opens, please contact our team for details (playingbig@taramohr.com).

How long do I have access to the course materials?

At the conclusion of the program, we’ll provide you with a link that has all the course materials in one easy-to-access location that is yours forever. As a graduate of the program, you’ll also be able to participate in future sessions at no additional cost.

I’m having technical trouble signing up.

No problem. We can help. Message us through the chat button in the lower righthand corner of your screen, or email playingbig@taramohr.com and we’ll get you all set up.

How are the Playing Big programs different from the Playing Big book?

The courses offer something very different from the book – in fact, nearly all of our students come to the Playing Big programs after reading the book, and find tremendous additional value in the course experience. They get support, structure, wise pacing, and accountability applying the Playing Big work in their life, plus get new, additional content developed since the book’s publication.

In the Playing Big Course, we cover the concepts and material in an interactive context, with these added benefits:

  • A well-paced curriculum that keeps you from rushing through the material or only digesting it mentally. Instead, you have the support and time to put new ways of working and living into action in your life.
  • Dynamic class sessions where Tara teaches about the concepts in her own words, answers questions, and coaches participants.
  • A structured time to do the writing and other exercises in the Playing Big process so you know you’ll get them done, with the additional support and time to debrief and unpack what comes up for you.
  • Reminders and inspiration from Tara along the way (delivered by text message and/or email, your choice) to ensure that you put the new habits into place, even when life gets hectic.
  • Community – the opportunity to connect with and be supported by a global community of women playing bigger.
  • Lots of supplementary resources, plus new material and Tara’s latest thinking since the book’s publication.

In the Facilitators Training, you also learn a very different body of content than is in the book. Our focus is on enabling you to go out and facilitate Playing Big work with others with confidence and ease for incredible impact – bringing the tools to those that you work with, whether you are a coach, consultant, educator, manager, mentor, therapist or in another supportive role. In contrast with the book reading experience, in the Facilitators Training you get access to:

  • Wide-ranging coaching demos that show how to use the Playing Big tools in varied situations.
  • Guided Lab sessions to practice using the Playing Big coaching tools in a safe and comfortable learning environment.
  • Tara’s pioneering Coaching Skills 101 Training, sharing her unique approach to coaching.
  • Turnkey materials to share with others, such as worksheets and handouts, enhancing your work in 1:1 sessions and groups.
  • Q&A and workshop sessions specifically for those facilitating Playing Big work as coaches, consultants, therapists, mentors, managers, educators, and in other supportive roles.
  • The opportunity to earn 40 International Coaching Federation continuing education units and include this training in your professional credentials.

Here is how a couple of our participants felt about the difference between taking a course and reading the book:

“After coming across the Playing Big book, I couldn’t put it down. Each chapter felt like it was speaking directly to me and my situation. I was curious what additional value could be added from the Playing Big program, and I was blown away. The deeper exploration and community support enhanced my experience in ways I hadn’t anticipated.”
– Lauren Wilde, psychotherapist

“I had read Playing Big years ago and found it life-changing. When the opportunity came to take the facilitators course, I knew I wanted to go deeper and learn directly from Tara, and it exceeded all expectations. Access to Tara herself, her thoughtful guidance, and the program’s structure were incredibly valuable. I also gained so much from practicing each Lab module with my Lab Partner, whose insights and reflections deepened the experience even further. This program helped me reengage with the tools at a new level and gave me even more confidence in bringing them into the lives of those I support. I highly recommend it to anyone who coaches, leads, or supports others in any capacity.”
– Jody LaVoie, Grief and Transition Coach- Widows in the Workplace and The Grief Company

Is this a fit for me?

I’m outside of North America. How does the course work for those of us living in other parts of the world, and in very different time zones?

So glad you asked! The first thing for you to know is, yes, we have people from all over the world participating in our online programs. On average, 40% of our participants live outside the U.S., and span over fifty countries.

Many have questions about making the timing of a program work. First, if the live call times don’t work for you, that’s no problem! You can access a video, audio, or written recording shortly afterward. There are lots of ways to connect with other participants in the courses and to get your questions answered.

Over the years, our graduates have shared again and again in their feedback that whether they participate live or via recordings (or some combination of both), the course is absolutely transformative in moving them into their playing big.

Still have questions? Send us a message (via the chat button on the bottom right corner of your screen) and we would love to chat with you.

What is the typical age of course participants?

First of all, if you are asking yourself this question and wondering if you’ll be in a different stage of life than the group, we want you to know you aren’t alone! The usual age range of the course participants is 30s through 70s, with a strong cohort in each decade. We have many participants who are mid-career and are moving into new kinds of playing big at this stage.

We also have many participants who connect with the Playing Big community when they are on the verge of retirement or are thinking of pursuing a new calling or career in their 50s, 60s or beyond. Sometimes, these individuals know what that calling is, and sometimes they aren’t sure yet or are weighing many possible directions. You will be in good company and our private discussion groups will allow you to connect with others who are at a similar stage in life to you.

I don’t do so well with online and distance learning. Might this work for me?

It’s a great question. Here are a few things to keep in mind: The course materials are always simple to access. The course combines written materials, worksheets and exercises, live calls, and recorded audio and video learning. The variety of formats means you’ll be able to digest the material in ways that work for you.

Because Tara’s programs are highly experiential and interactive, we don’t experience the attrition or weak learning outcomes that many distance-learning programs do. The pluses of a distance-learning approach are that you’ll connect with like-minded people from all over the world and that you can learn/participate in a way that works easily with your schedule.

Is this just for people who identify as women?

No. The Playing Big tools and model were developed largely through work with individuals who identify as women. Some parts of our content relate to the specific ways women and girls are socialized, research on women in the workplace, and the kinds of biases women are often met with.

That being said, individuals who identify as a wide range of genders have found usefulness in the tools. Many of our tools have near universal applicability. Others are resonant for those who are underrepresented in current power structures – for a wide range of reasons, including and apart from gender.

Individuals of all genders are welcomed as full participants in the course, and graduates of the program can take what they’ve learned and integrate into work with any population they desire to support.

I feel ambivalent about the very idea of “playing big.”

You are not alone. Many of us share these mixed feelings about the notion of playing big. Many of us are drained by the state of the world now and just trying to keep things afloat. Others worry that playing big will mean leaving behind things we love — free time, or the quiet and simple parts of our lives. Many of us worry that playing bigger would mean we’d somehow stand out, or stand apart, from the people we love — and we don’t want that. Many of us feel fatigued by our culture’s need for everything to be big, bigger, biggest. We know that’s not sustainable for human beings or the planet. We don’t want to perpetuate that kind of thinking.

All of these ambivalences are very normal — and in my view, they are precisely the reason why we need a context and a journey to redefine and reclaim playing big for ourselves — to find a playing big that is aligned with our values, allows us to stay in community and relationship, and that’s good for the earth, too.

In the Playing Big model, each person defines playing big on their own terms. For most, playing big does not mean owning an empire or getting overtaken by a drive toward success. Playing big means courageously going for your personal dreams and longings and having the positive impact your heart wants to have in the world.

I want to play bigger, but I already feel exhausted and overwhelmed. I know a lot of other women feel the same right now. How does this work fit with that?

This program teaches an inside-out definition of playing big. Playing big isn’t about striving harder or doing more. It is about honestly accepting one’s true aspirations and callings and playing big in going for them. Because it leads to us being more aligned with our authentic selves, and more tapped into our passions, it generally creates more energy, less stress, and far less striving in our lives. It’s an alternative to perfectionistic go-go-going — a deeper path of self-actualization.

Questions About the Playing Big Facilitators Training

I want to keep using the tools/methodology I’m currently trained in. How does Playing Big integrate with other models?

The Playing Big model offers a set of tools and concepts that you can easily integrate into your own approach to managing, mentoring, advising or coaching. For example, therapists can apply the Playing Big facilitation tools and concepts, using their own theoretical orientation lens, to help clients improve coping skills, increase self esteem, and foster greater resilience. Or as a manager, you might use the Playing Big toolkit to complement your existing one, particularly when helping team members around issues of confidence, voice, and leadership development.

Will the Facilitators Training give me materials for leading Playing Big classes or workshops? Am I becoming an official “Playing Big coach?”

Great question! This program does give you the skills to bring the Playing Big model to groups, workshops, retreats, company settings, and more. We also provide you with a variety of materials for leading workshops, or using in 1:1 coaching, consulting, or mentoring sessions.

And, when you fulfill our course completion requirements, you are encouraged to add to your professional qualifications that you’ve Completed the Playing Big Facilitators Training with Tara Mohr.

However, our grads don’t teach Playing Big branded programs. We want you to integrate the tools into what you – individually – most want to do, and use them in your own unique way.

Do I need to take the Playing Big Course before I can take the Facilitators Training?

No, the Facilitators Training includes all the elements of the Playing Big Course.

The Playing Big Course focuses just on your own Playing Big. Our Facilitators Training includes the Playing Big Course, and adds a comprehensive training for doing this work with others.

If you decide that Playing Big is a better fit for you this year, you can start there! Playing Big Course graduates can apply their course tuition toward a future session of the Facilitators Training.

Can I do the Facilitators Training is training if I am not a coach or leadership development professional?

Absolutely! We have many coaches in the program, but we also have participants in academia, corporate managers, mentors, health care practitioners and others. We provide a pre-recorded Coaching Skills 101 workshop as a supplemental, optional part of the program and recommend you complete this if you do not have a coaching or counseling background. The Coaching Skills 101 workshop is included with your Facilitators Training registration. Full written transcripts are also provided. This is a purely optional element but a great supplemental resource (for seasoned coaches as well!).

Will I receive ICF CCE units?

The Facilitators Training is accredited by International Coach Federation (ICF) for 40 Continuing Coach Education (CCE) units – 21 in Core Competencies and 19 in Resource Development. At the close of the program, if you would like to receive certification for these CCE units, you’ll simply:

  1. confirm that you’ve attended live, or watched the recording, of all Guided Workshops and completed the worksheets that are used on the call.
  2. confirm that you’ve completed all Lab Calls. We highly recommend that you attend the live Lab Calls or, if you’re unable to attend, create your own practice time with another participant of the course. If neither of those are possible, you may use the Lab Call Agenda to practice with a current client or a person in your life who would like coaching.
  3. successfully complete the final written assessment to demonstrate your learnings.

Will I be “certified” through the Facilitators Training program?

This is not a certification or a licensing program. It’s a training program that equips you to use the Playing Big tools in your work for powerful impact with those you coach, mentor, and teach. If you would like to state that you have “completed the Playing Big Facilitators Training with Tara Mohr,” at the close of the program you’ll simply:

  1. confirm that you’ve completed the curriculum for all modules
  2. successfully complete the final written assessment to demonstrate your learnings.

Then you are free – and encouraged! – to share that you’ve taken this training program.

The Playing Big Facilitators Training is also accredited by the International Coach Federation (ICF). Upon completion, coaches will receive certification for 40 Continuing Coach Education (CCE) units – 21 in Core Competencies and 19 in Resource Development.

Can these tools be used with men, too?

The Playing Big curriculum was developed primarily for and with individuals who identify as women, out of a passion for bringing women’s voices to the fore. However, we have participants of all gender identities using the model with great success in their lives and careers.

I’m wondering…

How do you approach diversity and inclusion in the course? And how do you do anti-racist work through this program?

Ensuring diversity and inclusion has been a key part of our work in designing the Playing Big programs from early on. Here are some of the ways we’ve done that throughout the past several years:

  • Since the program’s inception, we regularly gather feedback on the course experience from BIPOC women and ensure that the program is impactful, relevant and inclusive. We do this both through periodic deep dive conversations and quantitative course evaluation data.
  • Integrating discussions of culture, identity and bias throughout our modules.
  • A robust course scholarship program that serves individuals working in social justice, public service and activism, so that our trainings can help amplify work being done in those areas.

We also know there is a lot more that we can do – and continue to grow in this area.

My employer sometimes sponsors professional development. Do you have something I can give them?

Yes, we have a document you can provide your employer. Click here to download the Playing Big for Professional Development Program Guide

We have several options for companies registering an employee, or group of employees, in one of our programs:

  •   You (or someone from your company) can use a corporate credit card to register. If you need us to update the email address and/or name of the participant after the registration is processed, our team can help you do so. We can also send a PDF receipt.
  •   You can register for the program using your own credit card, and then we can issue a PDF receipt in your name, and your company can reimburse you.
  •   If there is a delay in obtaining approval from your company, we recommend that you register with your own credit card. We will refund your credit card after we receive payment for your registration via a corporate credit card.

Honestly, I feel intimidated and nervous about signing up.

You aren’t alone. Our self-doubts tend to show up when we are embarking on something unfamiliar, especially something that matters to our hearts. Know that having that inner critic chatter away in moments like these is very common. And also know that you are coming into a very welcoming, gentle community! If our past course participants are any indicator, by the end of our first meeting, those doubts will be quieted and you will be feeling exhilarated and joyful about being in the course!

What if I don’t know what I want to Play Big with?

That’s okay. Some participants come into the course with a specific idea of what playing bigger looks like for them. Others aren’t sure, but find that the skills and tools we learn in the course allow them to play bigger in all areas of their lives and support them as their next passion or professional direction emerges.

What if my life gets super busy during the course, and I can’t complete it at this time?

All program materials are yours for life — so even if an unexpected change in your schedule happens, you can still get the full value of the program when you are ready. We’ve also structured the program so that you can easily skip a module (or more) but join us wherever we are in the program, then catch up on the other modules when you have time.

What is your refund policy?

If within the first 30 days of the program, you find the program isn’t working for you, and you have submitted your completed program materials and worksheets from the course to date, you may request a cancellation of your membership and receive a refund.

I’m just not sure…

Well, if you were my coaching client I’d ask you to:

  • Check in with your body: How does the idea of registering feel in your body — good and exciting? Good but scary/exhilarating? Those are good signs.
  • Notice what part of you is hesitant: Your inner wisdom? Listen up. Inner critic? Voice of fear? Not good voices to listen to. Question what they are saying. Especially question any voices telling you that you somehow don’t measure up to being in this group, or won’t be able to “do it right,” or that the time to do this has to be just right.
  • Explore: Is there a particular fear or worry you have? If so, write it down and examine it in the light.
  • Ask yourself: If you knew you couldn’t fail at this, and that you’d fit in beautifully with the group — what would you do?

Reflect: What are your intentions for the coming year? Does this feel well aligned, or not?
