tipping point

By May 14, 2013 11 Comments

There is a magical point, when, even though change is scary, the pain of inauthentic living becomes so great we are willing to get out of our comfort zones and make change.

It’s okay to let the pain and discomfort grow till you reach that point. It’s part of the process.

It’s okay to be in the uncomfortable stage.

It’s good to know this is part of your path, and part of everyone’s path, actually.

When do you make the changes your soul is longing for, you will look back on all this discomfort with fondness. You’ll want to thank it for showing you what your right work was and wasn’t.

So much of what we really need know in this life is how to let our lives unfold. And then we need the courage to keep showing up to look at what that unfoldment is showing us.

Love,

Tara

Thank you Tara. The uncertainty of change is so scary. But knowin that I will look back upon this time and appreciate my process is comforting.

Well… sometimes ‘inauthentic living’ is putting food on the table when living authentically is not. The key is finding authenticity within the inauthentic.

Thank you Tara. I recall when I struggled with doing something that felt so wrong but to use Sarah’s words, it put food on the table. I found that the key to plan. Often we know when something doesn’t feel right for us but we wait for something to happen. Nothing is going to happen unless you take action, any action! Sign up for a course, explore, ask questions or save money so that you have a financial cushion to support you when you finally take the leap. Personally, I found that taking action really helped me speed up the tipping point and ease the discomfort. 🙂

  • You nailed it here! I have noticed that many of us have become too used to the pain of living inauthentically, as if that is normal and the default mode of modern living.
It takes great courage for some of us (me) to climb out of the the muck of default mode because on the way, we encounter all those who want to keep us there.
Keep writing and talking Tara, you do so much for so many of us.

  • Exactly!! Exactly. I recently tipped over – am tipping right now in fact! And it is all true. I am so grateful for “the last straw.” Not because I should be grateful but I feel a genuine full-voiced thank you!!! to the misery that made me leap.

Now the stars are aligning and life is flowing as I knew it would but wow. Fear was/is a powerful, sneaky force even when you see it coming.

Thank you Tara for saying it so clearly. I am so happy to have tipped!

  • Thanks Tara, I am just stepping into this stage of my life right now. I keep battling with myself- fear – but I know which way I need to go. Your words have helped…yet again. Cheers, Margaret x

    Perfect timing for this comment.
I found I am in observation mode.
Letting actions of others speak louder than words.
    Seeing what unfolds.
It may be time to reassess.
Just life’s way of telling you it is time to stay or go.
Thank you Tara. Your timing is perfect.

    Thank you.

I do hope I’ll look back on this period with fondness cause right now everything is just wrong and I don’t know how to move forward.

I told someone I know I’ve feeling all at sea and she recommended I read your page. Ah this is exactly where I’m at right now! This really helped me. Of course I’ve been here before and got beyond it but we tend to forget that.
